Drive In Drive Out A: Richmond Classic Ampitheatre, VA 7-25-95; Hampton Coliseum 12-30/12-31-95 N: An old song, it was brought back over the summer of 1995 and was reworked by the band for the third album. This has alot of Funky time shifts in it - most notably in the sax and fiddle trade off where the last beat of each part is cut off halfway through it. This is very confusing so get a copy of one of the above shows and listen hard Verse E-----------------------------------------------------------------:| B-----------------------------------------------------------------:| G-----------------------------------------------------------------:| D----5-4-------------5-4-------------5-4--------------5-4------5--:| A--------5-4`5~4`5-------5-4`5~4`5-------5-4`5~4`5--------5-------:| E--5---------------5---------------5----------------5--------3----:| Chorus G ΚΚΚΚΚΚΚΚΚΚΚΚBm ΚΚΚΚΚΚA Drive In Drive Out, I'm leaving... Interlude 1 A -> D -> C -> D -> A [x4] [Chorus] Interlude 2 (funky walk up) There are odd time pauses here - these are the notes, but when you pause is up to you (I believe it's every fifth note but I'm not sure). This leads directly into the sax & fiddle trade off (also in odd time) E------------------:| B------------------:| G------------------:| D------------------:| A----------5-6-7-8-:| E--5-6-7-8---------:| Trade offG -> A [x?] -> [verse] -> [chorus] ->outro E----------------------------------:| B----------------------------------:| G----------------------------------:| D------7-5-4---------------------7-:| A----7-------7-5-3-2---5---5---7---:| E--5-----------------3---3---5-----:| The trade off part reenters for a quick reprise and then back to the outro for a finish. The song flows overall like thisIntro -> Verse -> Chorus -> Interlude 1 -> Chorus -> Funky walkup -> Trade off Jam -> Verse -> Chorus -> Outro -> trade off -> outro John M. P.
